PRIMA FINANȚARE is more than the first choice in financing Start-Ups, Entrepreneurs and Farmers.

The company is committed to providing advice and training not only to its clients, but also to the wider community, in areas such as entrepreneurship and financial literacy, as well as agriculture.

As the Republic of Moldova is an agrarian country, agriculture being one of the main drivers of economic growth, PRIMA FINANȚARE has created and developed a unique project - A Tip for Farmers.

The project was launched in May 2020, during the pandemic, with the aim of sharing knowledge and experiences with the entire farming community in an online format.

The promoter of this project is Mr Tudor Șeptelici, a specialist in agriculture and winemaking, specialised horticulturist, a graduate of the National College of Viticulture and Winemaking in Chisinau. Mr Șeptelici trained as a specialist at the wine factory in the village of Milesti, rn. Nisporeni, where he worked as chief technologist. It should be noted that he was a multiple winner of the "Polobocul de Aur" at regional and national level, being a winemaker with over 25 years of experience. And for more than 10 years he has been practising beekeeping and is an experienced beekeeper.

The impact of this project continues to impress. In almost 4 years since its launch, 82 videos have been created, with over 65 thousand views on the YouTube company channel.

A Tip for Farmers is of significant importance to the farming community from a number of perspectives: education and training, access to quality information, promoting sustainability and increasing community connections.

The project is created with the support of Entrepreneurs Development Foundation.

Sustainable agriculture is becoming increasingly important in the context of climate change and environmental concerns. So the video project focuses on sustainable farming practices and how farmers can minimise negative environmental impacts while increasing their production.

One of the current issues that Mr Sheptelici talked about in the March video is effective collaboration between beekeepers and farmers. The season for orchard and vineyard treatments has started. Treatments are being carried out against diseases (anthracnose, rattlesnake and mealybug) and pests (fruit maggots and various species of lice). The problem itself arises in situations of lack of communication. Farmers start treatments without notifying beekeepers. As a result, bees are poisoned by contact with treated plants.

It is gratifying that from 1 January 2023, the registration of beehives and farmland treatments has become mandatory on the web application called Beeprotect.md. The app was created by The National Association of Beekeepers of the Republic of Moldova (ANAM), in collaboration with USAID and Tekwill Project.

This app facilitates beekeepers' access to information about planned spraying in the neighbourhood so that the necessary measures are taken to protect bees. As a result, beekeepers will analyse the type of preparation that is used for treatment. Following the analysis, they will decide whether it is necessary to close the beehives or, if necessary, to transport them at least 5 km away from the treated plantation. If the fact has been ascertained by honey bees, beekeepers can call for 48 hours the National Association of Beekeepers of the Republic of Moldova or to specialised laboratories to detect the cause of the pest.

Scientists note the major importance of bees in the ecosystem.

Mr Septelici compares the disappearance of bees to "an atomic bomb". If there are no more bees, there will be no pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more people...

He also considers this branch of agriculture quite profitable. In addition to producing honey, which is a 100% organic and healthy product, beekeepers also make propolis and can make candles from natural beeswax. Mai mult decât atât, produsele apicole au o întrebuințare largă în terapia pulmonară și neurotică, inclusiv și la tratamentul reumatismului.

The project A Tip for Farmers realised by PRIMA FINANȚARE has a nice continuity and promises to continue to address the most topical issues for experienced farmers, but also for those who are just starting in the field. In May, the project will mark 4 years of activity, and the number of followers and views of the videos created only encourage the company and the promoter of this project to bring to the farming community new techniques, strategies and methods to improve their production and manage their businesses more efficiently.

As part of the project, Mr Sheptelici not only offers practical and useful advice and recommendations, but also free advice to all those who want it.

PRIMA FINANȚARE  significantly contribute to strengthening the country's farming community. Stay connected with this project and follow it on the company's official channels: https://www.facebook.com/PRIMAFINANTARE
